Life changes - Lee Hallam

Having witnessed the devastation inflicted on families and individuals by the brutality of brain tumours, I am both honoured and excited to have the opportunity to fight for such a worthy cause. Expanding my physical limits and pushing myself to breaking point, the crucial build up to headeast has so far been hugely challenging and greatly rewarding.

Sticking to a healthy eating regime alongside religiously following the 8-week training plan that has been provided for the event, I can already feel a dramatic improvement in my cycling prowess and physical stamina.

Beginning every day with an early morning 60-minute workout, I have also been dragging my family out for demanding 4-hour bike rides over rocky terrain while adhering to strict meal plans and learning how to actually use my juicer! As the CEO to an ever-expanding business, my time is so rarely my own, but through careful prioritising, determination and sheer willpower I’ve met every milestone that has been set, increasing the length and distance of each ride.

Utilising my training schedule as a chance to spend more time with my own family, it is gratifying and humbling to know that the overall result of such a challenge will enable more families to spend quality time together, even in the face of adversity.
